Houdini Fur Groom and Sim

Played around in Houdini 17 was getting more familiar with how they generate grooms and simulate the guide curves. So far everything seems pretty straight forward and easy to manipulate. There are a few things I'm still currently wondering about but for the time being I'm just going to keep moving forward with research and keep practicing creating grooms from scratch. Maybe i'll end up making some of my own personal tools for groom setups when i get a little more comfortable with the whole pipeline SideFx has laid out. Here's a little clip of what the render turned out to be. I spent about 2 hours going through a Houdini groom masterclass, the link is below. Then i spent about 4 more hours playing around with a few extra settings and digging into the node networks they're creating by default.
